What is Bharat Mart ?

India is setting up a warehouse facility, named 'Bharat Mart', in the United Arab Emirates. Foundation Stone has been laid in February 2024 in Dubai and is expected to be operational by 2025. It will be set up in Jebel Ali FreeZone in Dubai managed by DP World.

'Bharat Mart' is expected to be a platform for exporters to showcase their products under one roof.

'Bharat Mart' is all set to rival China's warehousing facility called 'Dragon Mart'.

'Bharat Mart' will have retail showrooms, warehouses, offices, and other facilities. It will accommodate various categories of goods, ranging from heavy machinery to perishable items.

Plan also includes to establish a Digital Platform for Buyers across the Globe to buy from 'Bharat Mart'

Will this step by Indian Government in collaboration with UAE Government would be worth watching to see.
